Originally designed as a glider & later rerbuilt in France as an Advanced Jet Fighter Trainer, the Fouga Magister went on to fly with numerous Air Forces throughout the world.  Besides its many combat and training roles, the CM-170 was better known as France's Air Force demonstration team preferred aircraft.  The Magister (or School House in its English translation) was flown by France's Patrouille de France for several decades.  It was eventually replaced by the Dassault-Breguet/Dornier Alpha Jet in 1981.
